I have been involved with Santa Clara’s ACM chapter since my freshman year, assisting in organizing workshops, socials, hackathons, and industry speaker events.
President (April 2023 - Present)
Led 14 people to grow Santa Clara University’s ACM Chapter to over 150 events for 500+ students, including:
- Brand new competitive programming sub-club, which organized two competitions and attended the ICPC competition. This sub-club has now expanded to include its own leadership team dedicated to helping members learn how to approach algorithms problems to help them in technical interviews and competitions
- Weekly workshops and professional development events
- 10 guest speaker events
- 3 Hackathons in collaboration with industry and school partners, including Roblox, INRIX, Deloitte, and Southwest Airlines
- 5 off campus social events
Vice President (April 2022 - April 2023)
- Assisted the president in carrying out daily club operations, including running bi-weekly general meetings, weekly board meetings, and meetings with SCU staff.
- Organized two hackathons, Hack for Humanity and INRIX Hack, which both saw participation from over 200 participants and collaboration with industry sponsors.
- Taught several workshops including, React.js, React Native, and API development.
- Coordinated ACM mentorship program, connecting underclassmen with experienced upperclassmen to assist them with classes and career development
Underclassmen Representative (October 2021 - April 2022)
- Advocated for the needs of underclassmen students at ACM board meetings
- Handled various tasks for the board including running ACM’s social media, creating flyers for events, and organizing a social event.
